Most of the business owners I meet have a good accountant and a will, and they think that covers it. But a will only says who gets what. It doesn't pay the tax on it. And the day you pass away, the CRA treats everything you own like you sold it that day.
So my work comes down to two things. Growing the money your company doesn't need right now, with less tax every year. And making sure the tax bill on what you've built doesn't land on your family. Most of the time, that's done with a special life insurance policy your company owns.
I work with your accountant, not around them. Everything has to fit your business and your plans, so I keep them in the loop.
On our call I'll take a quick look at what your business makes, what you've built and where your money sits today, and show you in plain English what you could keep. Rough numbers are fine. Then you decide.
